The Mount Calvary Scholarship Ministry provides basic knowledge of the College Admissions process through workshops and other related sessions. Our goal is to ensure that young people have the knowledge of various opportunities available to them in their pursuit of a higher education. We realize not everyone is interested in attending a four year institution so we introduce and provide information for alternative educational avenues. Whether it is vocational or technical schools, we are committed to providing resources and knowledge so students can make informed and sound choices when choosing a college and career path.

We are dedicated to helping Pastor Lea’s vision become a reality of one day sponsoring a full scholarship to a deserving young person desiring a higher education.

To be eligible for a scholarship from Mount Calvary the student must be a graduating high school senior who has been an active member for a minimum of one year, other criteria apply!

To date, we have awarded in excess of $300,000.

In addition to scholarships, we offer numerous workshops for students and parents throughout the year such as:
Financial Aid / College Awareness – includes scholarship search information, recorded mock interviews, personal financial management & awareness, parent workshops, parent panels  and much more.

Annual Career Day – in addition to dynamic keynote speakers our youth speak directly with professionals in various fields such as education, bio-tech, medical, public safety, authors, pilots, forensic science, engineers, culinary, military to name a few.

Money Management Boot Camp – this off site activity is sponsored in collaboration with Travis Credit Union’s Financial Education Department. The focus is total financial awareness and money management. Those attending benefited from a variety of simulated situations.
