Mount Calvary Baptist Church - Prayer Ministry
One Church two locations, A Multi-Ethnic Ministry

THE MISSION of the Prayer Ministry is to lead individuals into a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ by encouraging them to pray the Word of God as it relates to every situation pertaining to their lives…

This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.  Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:9-10, NIV)

The Prayer Ministry believes that God does hear and answers prayer.

Opportunities for Prayer:

  • Submit a prayer request online today, and know that we are praying for your specific needs.
  • You may also submit a prayer request via the box located in the lobby of either sanctuary, which will be retrieved by a team member, and prayed for diligently.
  • Do you have a specific prayer request you would like someone to pray with you about?  If so, join the Prayer Ministry for intercessory prayer in the sanctuary 15-minutes prior to each service.

We annually recognize May 2 as it marks the anniversary of the “National Day of Prayer”, a day that the U.S. Congress urges to be a day of prayer and meditation for people of all faiths and denominations.

We extend an invitation to all to join us at the main campus anytime between the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on this date, as we pray for churches, the US government, the educational system, families, the US military, businesses, and the media…

In His name the nations will put their hope (Matthew 12:21, NIV)

Also, the Mount Calvary Baptist Church Prayer Ministry extends an open invitation for you to join us in prayer every Friday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the MCBC main campus in Room 112.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16, NIV)

Warm greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Our annual “Fasting Prayer Mountain” retreat is scheduled for Saturday, February 23, 2019. Fasting Prayer Mountain of the World

996 Lockhart Gulch Road

Scotts Valley, CA 95066

The facility is located on over 10 acres of land, with multiple indoor and outdoor worship sanctuaries, scriptures posted on large rocks and walls, running streams of water, chapels, areas for group worship, nature/prayer trails, and locations to just spend individual time with God. This is an event you do not want to miss, and it is absolutely FREE, with the exception of gas and a love offering for the owners of this property who open it up to the community to come steal away and pray! For more information, please visit their website at

We are planning to depart from the Mount Calvary Dream Center parking lot at 6:45am the morning of the retreat. Please respond to regarding your attendance and transportation choice.

Come expecting!

Since it is Fasting Prayer Mountain, we are planning to be on one accord that day and only consume water for those six hours, unless dietary needs are a concern. Please consult with your doctor prior to the event.

The vision for this retreat is that we would steal away to an intimate place of communion and oneness with God, that God might teach us how to pray. We envision leaving the mountain with our flames of prayer and worship passionately ignited like never before! We plan to accomplish this by welcoming the Holy Spirit as we participate in the following worship activities:

  • The POWER of Private Prayer – “One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles: Simon (whom he named Peter), his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon who was called the Zealot, Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor. He went down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of his disciples was there and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the coastal region around Tyre and Sidon, who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by impure spirits were cured, and the people all tried to touch him because power was coming from him and healing them all.  ~Luke 6:12-19
  • Praying for All People: Praying Evangelistically! ~1 Timothy 2:1  I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people
