Who We Are
The Single One Life Ministry equips its members to enrich the body of Christ by the use of spiritual gifts from God. The Single One Life Ministry strives to evangelize through Christian fellowship, edifying our brothers and sisters. We are committed to learning and obeying God’s Word and supporting one another as we are faced with life’s daily challenges.
The Single One Life Ministry is designed to move its members from:
- Invitation to Affiliation
- Affiliation to Action
- Action to Maturity... in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Maturity to Activation - doing ministry in new, purposeful and relevant ways
- Activation to Empowerment by the Holy Spirit to turn the World upside down and do the greater works promised by our Father
We are excited about our Faith and our Future!
The goal of the Single One Life Ministry is to strive to keep a balance of activities to meet everyone’s needs and to not take away from Singles’ involvement at MCBC. It is important for Singles to be involved at MCBC by serving as greeters, ushers, singing in the choir, going on churchwide mission trips, helping teach Sunday School to adults and children, participating in book and bibles studies and more.
The goal of the Single One Life Ministry is not to play matchmaker but to equip Single adults to be strong in their faith and to play an active role in the church, and to help the church recognize Single people for their contribution of financial resources, time and talents/gifts to MCBC.
Meeting Schedule
The Single One Life Ministry meets the 4th Friday of each month at 7:00pm.
Growth Topics
As singles we do not have spousal obligations and therefore have more time to grow and draw closer to God.
The topics discussed during meetings are relevant and deliberately selected to challenge the intellect and spiritual maturation of those in attendance.
The Single One Life Ministry is contemplating the following topics:
- “End of Life”: Caring for Ailing Parents including Hospice
- Financial Considerations for Singles: How Do you make it on one Salary?
- Embracing Your Singleness
- Single Parenthood
Some meetings will be held in a round table format, with the topic(s) focused on participant’s immediate needs.
