Counseling Department Statement of Purpose
We are committed to assisting individuals in strengthening their relationship with God while developing, improving, and/or maintaining their social, emotional and mental well-being for the benefit of self, family, and community.
The Counseling Ministry is staffed by master and doctorate level counselors who are licensed or registered by the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences. In addition, we have nonclinical and spiritual counselors. As a team, we provide services that include individual counseling, family counseling, pre-marital counseling, couples counseling, spiritual guidance, coaching and youth counseling. In addition, we offer workshops and support groups.

Throughout the year the MCBC Counseling Department offers workshops and seminars to increase awareness and assist the faith based community in maintaining its mental, emotional, and social well-being. Some of the topics covered are:

Sexual Harassment and Sexual Misconduct Reporting
Mount Calvary Baptist Church is a safe and dynamic place to work and to worship.
However, if at any time you believe that sexual harassment or misconduct has taken place, please complete and submit the printable complaint form below. This form may be mailed or delivered to the church office in person. The form must be in a sealed envelope marked……………. “Report Form – Confidential.”
In addition to the form, we also recommend the following steps be taken: If you are a member of a ministry, all inappropriate behavior is reported to the ministry leader.
- The ministry leader will take all such reporting to the Director of their Division
- If you are not part of a ministry, please feel free to call the confidential line (707) 399-2495 to report. Your call will be returned within 48 hours.
- An alternative to reporting to your ministry leader is to call the confidential voicemail of (707) 399-2495.
- All reporting is discussed with the Pastoral Care Director.
- Please be assured that all reporting will be thoroughly investigated within a timely manner
- The reporting party will be appropriately notified.
